Homes for Students is celebrating the achievements of two of its senior female leaders, following their success at this year’s Property Week Inspiring Women in Property Awards.
The awards recognise exceptional talent, leadership and impact from women across the property sector, and this year saw two Homes for Students leaders recognised as winners.

Kate on stage with her trophy
Kate Forester, Group Managing Director, took home the trophy for Woman of the Year – PBSA. Judges noted Kate’s outstanding career in PBSA, recognising her exceptional leadership and significant contribution to the sector, describing Kate as “a truly outstanding leader whose impact on the PBSA sector is exceptional.”
They highlighted her role in building Homes for Students into a business of extraordinary scale, while championing people, inclusion and female empowerment. Her vision, resilience and commitment to creating positive change were also recognised as defining qualities of her leadership.

Nicola collecting her trophy
Portfolio Operations Director Nicola Rollin-Boone won Returner of the Year, a category that celebrates the work done by women after returning from parental leave. Judges described Nicola as “an inspiring leader whose impact reaches far beyond her day-to-day role.”
She was also commended for improving experiences for colleagues, championing working parents and driving positive change, describing her as a respected and motivational advocate who leads by example while balancing outstanding performance with initiatives that make a meaningful difference across the business.
Meanwhile, Neelam Saihjpal, Operations Director at sister brand VervLife, was also shortlisted in two categories at the awards – Team Leader of the Year – Residential and Leader of the Year.
Scott Lewis, Group Chief Operating Officer at Homes for Students, said: “All three of these amazing women are the driving force of the business, at the top of their game. They are setting the strategy, creating the environment for success and delivering relentlessly day after day. And all of this is achieved alongside the many other amazing senior women in our business who are also at the top of their game, continually pushing us forwards.
“It is fantastic to see Kate and Nicola recognised for their achievements, and for Neelam to be shortlisted in two categories. Their success is a reflection not only of their individual talent and leadership, but of the culture we are committed to creating across our businesses – one where people can thrive, make an impact and reach their full potential.”
The double win is a proud moment for Homes for Students and highlights the depth of female leadership and talent across the organisation and its wider group.
The company remains committed to supporting and empowering women across the property sector, creating opportunities for progression and recognising the people who are helping shape the future of the industry.
