For the 6th year running, ASRA was back and with full effect. ASRA which stands for The Association Student Residential Accommodation is non-profit Association. The campaign’s aim is “to promote and support the professional activities of individuals working in student accommodation. This year’s theme was “Bringing People together”, which opened the opportunity for attendees to come forth with their own opinions and participate in a wide discussion in a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
This year, ASRA was pledged with numerous games activities and speakers, with the mastermind of the London Olympics and Paralympic games makers and Virgin Atlantic’s Director of in-flight services, Linda Moir making a guest appearance. Games included the Price is right, University Challenge & Minute to win it. During the evening, members had a selection of activities to choose from such as; Pamper Party and Prosecco, Top-Your- Own Pizza Night and The Highlands Whisky Testing.

This year, we presented our growing portfolio and national scope to all attendees of ASRA and showcased our premier brand, Prestige Student Living, demonstrating our scale of service and capacity to accommodate a plethora of students from different backgrounds with a variation of expectations.
Our Head of Sales, Scott Lewis said of the event “It was a fantastic event up in Aviemore. Our exhibition stand looked amazing and we were definitely contenders for the best stand award. Simon West, Head of Operations and Laura Allt, Marketing Manager and I attended lots of fantastic talks and seminars ranging from health and safety to mental health and well being. Zara McGeiver and Laura Littlewood had countless meetings with key heads of accommodation and university accommodation teams to create, cement and grow some key relationships up and down the country.”
Laura Allt said of the event ” ASRA is a wonderful experience, which gives a key insight into sector trends and allows for future marketing forecasts. We met a plethora of industry specialists and made terrific memories this year. We are Looking forward to next year and hosting the event in the North West.”
Overall, We received some fantastic feedback and formed new relationships, whilst celebrating with familiar faces and we are already planning ahead for next year’s event.
