Homes for Students is pleased to welcome Helen Ogden as its new Group Procurement Director. With over 18 years of experience in procurement and energy strategy within real estate, Helen will lead the procurement team as HFS continues to expand its services across the purpose-built student accommodation sector.

In her role, Helen will oversee supplier performance and strengthen commercial outcomes across HFS’s wider living platforms, including build-to-rent and co-living. She will work closely with our sister company VervLife and European platform Orla to align procurement strategies across the group.
Helen’s expertise in strategic sourcing and energy management will support HFS, VervLife, and Orla in delivering value, efficiency, and high-quality service to clients and partners.
Co-CEO Graham Rogers said:
“This appointment reflects our continued investment in strong leadership and our commitment to building the capabilities needed to support our growing living platforms across the UK and Europe. Helen has already made a positive impact on our procurement processes and energy strategies, and we are delighted to welcome her to the team.”
Helen joins HFS as Corporate Energy & Utilities Specialist Monica Valuteanu marks her first anniversary. Over the past 12 months, Monica has played a key role in strategic utility procurement, helping safeguard HFS and its clients against short-term volatility in the energy market.
Graham added:
“Monica and Helen’s combined expertise, together with their wider team, ensures a resilient and agile service for our clients. Their leadership and deep industry knowledge are strengthening our foundations and supporting long-term stability.”
With Helen joining the team, HFS continues to strengthen its leadership and deliver on its commitment to providing innovative, high-quality living solutions across the UK and Europe.
