Homes for Students (HFS) has once again been awarded GOLD Accreditation by Investor in Students (IIS), marking a fifth consecutive GOLD award after achieving over 14,000 responses in the Spring survey.
The survey was conducted between 11th and 24th May with the teams at HFS gathering 14,163 resident responses – the highest Spring survey response rate in Homes for Students’ history.
The annual survey serves as a vital benchmark for measuring resident satisfaction across the HFS portfolio and provides valuable insight into how residents perceive their living experience compared with internal service expectations.
This year’s results reflect continued improvements across key performance indicators:
- Homes for Students’ overall IIS score increased to 8.65 out of 10, up from 8.54 in 2025.
- Resident satisfaction also saw significant year-on-year growth, with the IIS student score rising by 0.21 points to 8.59 out of 10.
- The company’s Net Promoter Score (NPS) remains exceptionally strong at 49.5, demonstrating overwhelmingly positive resident sentiment. With NPS scores ranging from -100 to +100, any score above 0 is considered positive, making a score of 49.5 a significant achievement.
While the business continues to analyse detailed feedback and resident comments, the headline figures reinforce Homes for Students’ ongoing commitment to delivering an exceptional student living experience.
The achievement reflects the collective efforts across the organisation, from on-site property teams to central support services, all working together to create a true “home away from home”.
