Homes for Students (HFS), is excited to announce a new partnership with the remarkable charity, The Girls’ Network.
The Girls’ Network is an award-winning organisation that empowers young women to develop their skills, confidence, and aspirations, encouraging them to create limitless futures. Their mission is to inspire and empower girls from the least advantaged communities by connecting them with a network of professional female role models.
The partnership
The Girls’ Network believe that young women shouldn’t be limited by their gender, background, or parental income when pursuing their goals and dreams.
Instead, focusing on capability and talent irrespective of gender, race or social class.
Steph Wessell, People & Culture Director for Homes for Students, said:
“We’re proud to partner with The Girls Network. This opportunity provides us with another platform to truly live and breathe three of our core company values: ‘Connect’, ‘Support Each Other’, and ‘Be a Force for Good’.”
“It’s inspiring to see so many of our female colleagues from across the country sign up to mentor with The Girls’ Network, and we look forward to hearing the success stories of those we’ve helped. I look forward to this partnership going from strength to strength.”
Homes For Students aims to further develop and grow this special partnership over the coming years, offering more mentoring opportunities to many of the HFS’s female leaders, and in turn, our support will help The Girls’ Network expand into more towns and cities.
Naomi Hook, Partnerships Manager from The Girls’ Network, said:
“The Girls’ Network is thrilled to partner with Homes for Students, a large national organisation, whose support will help us continue to inspire and empower young women across the country by connecting them with a mentor and a network of positive female role models.”
“We’re delighted that women at Homes for Students have signed up to mentor with us, supporting 14 to 19-year-olds in their local area to realise their ambitions and build their confidence through our one-to-one mentoring program. We’d like to thank Homes for Students for all their support and look forward to building on our partnership.”
Lucy Cross, Operations Manager North West for Homes for Students, said:
“I’m really excited to have been given the opportunity to be a part of mentoring with The Girls Network. To be able to share my experience and skills with a girl who may not otherwise benefit from this support is extremely rewarding. I’m looking forward to working with this partnership and seeing what amazing things will come from it”
Homes for Students’ partnership with The Girls’ Network forms a key part of both their community commitment programme and skills development agenda. Together with strategic partnerships with organisations including Student Minds and British Heart Foundation, Homes for Students aim to make a real difference in the communities within which their colleagues and students live.
The top-quality mentoring training and support provided by The Girls’ Network will see the team of senior female leaders develop their own coaching skills, helping the young women they will mentor but also their own teams and ultimately the business to flourish.
