Homes for Students (HFS) is celebrating a series of award recognitions and nominations across its brands, teams and individuals, in its milestone 10th anniversary year.
Recognition at the 2025 GSLI Awards
Earlier this year, HFS were shortlisted in the prestigious GSLI Awards, recognising excellence in student living across the UK and Ireland. The shortlisted categories were:
- Best Learning Environment, UK & Ireland – The Place, Nottingham (Prestige Student Living)
- Best Private Housing, UK & Ireland – EVO Student
- Best Specialist Housing, UK & Ireland – Harbour Court, Bristol (Homes for Students)
In addition, General Manager of The Cube, Andrew Stafford was nominated in the highly regarded GSL Accommodation Hero category, which celebrates individuals who make an exceptional difference to students’ lives across the country. Congratulations to Andy for this well-deserved recognition.
On the night, The Place in Nottingham was named winner of Best Learning Environment, UK & Ireland, following strong competition from other leading providers. This award is particularly meaningful as the GSLI Awards are based entirely on verified student feedback, reflecting the dedication of our teams and the consistently high standards of service we deliver to residents.

Inspiring Women in Property Awards
Business Development & Integration Director, Nisha Parmar, was recently shortlisted at the Property Week Inspiring Women in Property Awards for Woman of the Year – PBSA . Nisha’s nomination reflects her exceptional contributions to the sector and her ongoing commitment to championing diversity and innovation in student accommodation.
While Nisha did not take home the award on this occasion, her recognition among industry peers underscores the calibre of talent across our organisation.

Looking Ahead: Student Accommodation Conference & Awards 2025
Homes for Students is also proud to be shortlisted in three categories at the upcoming Property Week Student Accommodation Awards 2025, taking place on 4 December 2025– one of the most anticipated events in the student housing calendar!
The categories are:
- Operator of the Year (Over 5,000 Beds)
- Best Student Experience in Accommodation: Medium Sized PBSA, Boutique & Shared Housing Providers – Prestige Student Living
- Unsung Hero – Olivia Rannard, Resident Service Assistant at St Andrew’s Gardens, Liverpool
