The award centres around Homes for Students’ design, development, and implementation of their bespoke in-house developed and managed resident experience app, KLIQ, which is available to all students living across HFS’s accommodation portfolio in the UK and Ireland, and has proven to be a hit with students and property management teams alike.

The Journey to KLIQ
In 2022, HFS embarked on their journey to build KLIQ, having evaluated off-the-shelf solutions and realising they weren’t the right fit. They took the bold step of developing their own app, entirely in-house and tailored specifically to their residents’ needs. This decision has paid off, as evidenced by the numerous accolades KLIQ has gathered:
2023 – Winner of ‘Best App’ at the Northern Digital Awards in Leeds
2023 – Winner of ‘Best PropTech Solution’ at the Class Foundation Awards in Barcelona
2024 – Winner of PropTech Innovator of the Year at the Property Awards in London
